Vibration mirror

  • Series: Wave sculptures (2010 - on-going)
  • Concept: The Vibration mirror is a sculpture where an interpretation of two water droplet impacts have been materialized. The resulting shapes were carved from an aluminum plate, enabling us to study the frozen, static structure of water on close range. It is important to note that this is not a simulation. Rather, it is an artistic representation of what could be water or similar to it.
  • Awarded: The project was supported by The Swedish Arts Grants Committee and The Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in 2010 and 2012.
  • Materials: Polished aluminium
  • Dimensions: 60 x 40 x 2 cm
